Meghan Shapiro, LPA
Since 2005, Meghan Shapiro has had the opportunity to work with clients in private and group practice, psychiatric residential treatment facilities, and community-based settings. She has a great deal of experience helping people who have experienced trauma, body image issues, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. Mostly, she has great respect for the trust and openness a therapeutic relationship allows.
Her therapeutic approach is grounded in Humanistic principles, and is complemented primarily by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Meghan has over 10 years of assessment experience, providing consultative examinations to individuals, state, and federal agencies. She enjoys and has a rich understanding of the assessment process and is driven to create an efficient, thorough and lighthearted experience to all involved.
Meghan works with individuals aged 10 and up and provides assessment to children ages 2 and up. She enjoys tailoring her work to meet diverse needs.
Meghan earned her B.A. from UNCW and her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Appalachian State University.
