Embrace the path to healing with the compassionate support of A Different Path Mental Wellness. We look forward to working with you.
At A Different Path Mental Wellness, we are in network with Aetna including the Aetna State Health Plan. If you have one of these insurance plans, we will submit claims for reimbursement for services. You may still be responsible for a co-pay or deductible depending on your insurance plan.
We also work with clients who choose to Self-Pay. Self-pay is a way to remit payment for therapy services without involving insurance companies directly. This does not mean that your insurance will not pay for services, It only means that the client is responsible for payment for services initially. Upon request, your provider will happily provide you with the necessary paperwork (called a superbill) to send to your insurance for reimbursement. Obviously, insurance reimbursement is not guaranteed but can be helpful in covering the cost of therapy.
Accepted Methods of Payment: We accept cash, checks, credit cards, CareCredit and HSA/FSA/HRA funds as forms of payment.
Why Self-Pay?
Greater Flexibility and Personalization
Customized Treatment: Without the constraints of insurance company guidelines, we can tailor your therapy to your unique needs and preferences.
No Session Limits: Insurance plans often limit the number of sessions you can have and the amount of time your therapist can spend with you. With self-pay, you have the freedom to engage in as many sessions as you need to achieve your goals, ensuring a more comprehensive and effective therapeutic process.
Clear and Transparent Costs
Upfront Pricing: Self-pay offers clear and straightforward pricing. You’ll know exactly what you’re paying for each session without hidden costs or surprise bills. This transparency helps you budget effectively for your mental health care.
Cancellations and No Show Policy
The time for your testing or therapy appointment is reserved specifically for you. When clients cancel within 24-hours or no show, other clients miss out on an opportunity to be seen.
Therapy appointments: We understand that things can arise that make appointments difficult to keep. Providing 24 hours notice of cancellations might allow us to offer someone else your spot, however, we encourage you to call our office at any point if you think you might not be able to keep your appointment so we can work together to determine an alternative time or modality for your session. If you fail to attend your appointment without 24 hours notice, you may be charged a fee.
Psychological Testing: All assessments must be paid in full within 24 hours of the scheduled assessment time. If we have not received payment within 24 hours, we will notify you of the need for payment. Failure to remit payment at the time of notification will result in cancellation of your appointment.
If you fail to attend your scheduled assessment, the assessment will be rescheduled for an alternative date. Failure to attend two scheduled assessment times will result in a charge due in advance of scheduling another appointment.
